Palin disinvited to funeral by whom?[edit]

Article mentions that Palin and Trump both disinvited from funeral by McCain's request, but I was unable to substantiate this with regard to Palin from the two footnotes cited. I did find a BBC article which suggested Cindy was the one who asked, via an intermediary, that Palin not attend.
